The information below is a self-assessment of current practices and known limitations. No compliance badge or third-party approval is displayed.
Current Accessibility Measures
LifeLeveled incorporates the following accessibility practices in its current implementation:
- Semantic HTML structure to support screen reader navigation
- Keyboard navigation support for interactive elements
- Responsive layout that adapts to mobile, tablet, and desktop viewports
- Color contrast designed to meet WCAG AA standards for most text
- Accessible form labels and inline error messaging
- Support for reduced-motion preferences via CSS media queries
These measures are self-assessed. They have not been verified by an independent accessibility auditor or tested across all assistive technologies.
Known Limitations
LifeLeveled acknowledges the following accessibility limitations in its current implementation:
- AI interfaces. The AI Coach, Roleplay, and Camera Coach features use dynamic content and conversational interfaces that may present challenges for screen reader users.
- Focus indicators. Some interactive elements may have inconsistent focus indicators, particularly in custom components.
- Multimedia content. Lessons and simulator content may include multimedia without captions, transcripts, or audio descriptions.
- LifeSim complex components. The LifeSimulator's interactive dashboards and data visualizations may be difficult to navigate with assistive technology.
- Browser and screen reader testing. The application has not been systematically tested across all browser and screen reader combinations.
Remediation Commitment
LifeLeveled is committed to improving accessibility and plans to:
- Conduct a formal accessibility audit against WCAG 2.1 AA by a qualified third party
- Address issues identified in the audit
- Test with assistive technologies including screen readers and keyboard-only navigation
- Add captions and transcripts for multimedia content
- Establish a regular accessibility review process
These commitments are presented as planned improvements, not completed work. They should not be relied upon for current accessibility conformance determinations.
